About The Boondocker
The boondocker is your online resource to off the beaten path travel. The focus is on “off the grid” camping. Not that there is anything wrong with hookups but let’s face it: the best places are away from the crowds, and your camper was built for it. So why be held hostage to power lines and subjected to neighbors you didn't’t pick, right?
Look for tips on getting started boondocking, special gear and featured destinations with local information so you will be able to get the most out of your visit. Also, we offer recommended readings. The books featured in our reviews and recommendations can be purchased without leaving the site! In fact, we ask that if you do decide to purchase a book after seeing it here, that you consider buying it through our amazon.com affiliate store. Doing so supports the site and keeps the lights turned on.
On the home page you can find links to sites helpful to boondockers including free camping and dump stations. Also, there is a special section linking to vintage trailer restorations and blogs. If you have a link or blog you think should be linked here, let us know.
